Haiku at Holden

 I am very pleased and honored to have two of my haiku on the haiku path at Holden Arboretum.  This is a joint project between the arboretum and the Haiku Society of America, curated by Julie Warther, Midwest Regional Coordinator of HSA.  It's an electronic haiku path, something I wasn't too sure about until I experienced it, but it's actually quite neat.  At each of 15 stops, you scan the little squiggly thing with your phone and you get a visual of the haiku and a recording of the poet reading his or her haiku.  The haiku will change with the seasons throughout the coming year.  Here is my spring haiku:
